Michael Foley

Head instructor/ program director

A second generation martial artist with over 25 years experience as a practitioner, over 20 years experience as a competitor and over 15 years experience as an instructor and coach. Michael is a 5th degree black belt in Kenpo Karate, 4 stripe blue belt in Gracie Jiu Jitsu, nationally ranked  kickboxing competitor and a certified coach. Michael holds the -91kg Canadian amateur low-kick rules and the -86kg Atlantic Canadian amateur full-contact rules kickboxing title belts. He is also a gold medalist at regional, national, intercontinental and world championships in kickboxing and sport karate. Michael has traveled across Canada and the United States, as well as, to Greece, Thailand, South Africa and Brazil to compete and train. He is a long-time member of Canada's national kickboxing team and is the current president of Kickboxing Newfoundland & Labrador, which is the official governing body of amateur kickboxing in the province.

1998 - Promoted to 2nd degree black belt by Mike Foley sr.
1998 - Bronze medal Ontario provincial championships.
2000 - Gold medal Canada Cup - Canadian national team trials.
2001 - Gold medal WPKA World Championships, Greece.
2001 - Promoted to 3rd degree black belt by Mike Foley sr.
2001 - 2 x Gold medal KICK North American Championships, USA.
2002 - Gold Medal WKA Canadian National Championships.
2005 - Promoted to 4th degree black belt by Mike Foley sr.
2007 - Atlantic Canadian Kickboxing Championship title belt (FC).
2008 - Promoted to blue belt in Gracie jiu jitsu by Pedro Sauer.
2010 - Canadian Kickboxing Championship title belt (LK).
2011 - Promoted to 5th degree black belt by Mike Foley sr.
