Matt Kippenhuck

Greco Roman and Freestyle Wrestling

Matt began his wrestling career for Memorial University of Newfoundland as a "walk-on" in 2005. Over his 5 years in the MUN wrestling program, Matt competed nationally and was awarded Wrestler of the Year in 2010. Matt is also a regular competitior in both Gracie Jiu Jitsu and Kickboxing with six amateur kickboxing bouts, which includes a silver medal finish at the Canadian kickboxing Nationals, and numerous regional medals in grappling and brazilian jiu jitsu tournaments. In 2010, Matt was awarded his blue belt in Gracie Jiu Jitsu directly from Master Pedro Sauer.

Selected Accomplishments:

2006 - Qualified for CIS Nationals.
2010 - Qualified for CIS Nationals.
2010 - Silver Medal at CASK Kickboxing National championships.
2010 - Awarded blue belt by Master Pedro Sauer.

  • NCCP Nationally certified wrestling coach.
  • CPR and First Aid.
  • Blue Belt in Gracie Jiu Jitsu with the PSBJJA.
