KICKBOXING

Disciplines: K1 Rules (Thai Boxing); Low-Kick Rules; Full-Contact Rules

Kickboxing is a combination of kicking, punching, knees, elbows and clinching. We foster a balanced training program that has been developed through a rich competitive history. We have produced many champions of the sport and have helped hundreds of individuals reach their personal fitness goals. You cannot help but get in shape with our fast paced and energetic classes. Open to men and women, our kickboxing classes focus on the proper technique and conditioning that one would need to climb into a ring to compete or to defend themselves if ever necessary. Whether you wish to train to get in shape while learning a focused combat ring sport or to actually get in the ring to compete, achieve your goals faster by training properly under the guidance of kickboxing champions that have trained, coached and competed at the highest levels.

Training method and style:

The Foley style of kickboxing is the combination of Muay Thai, Boxing, and Karate. Michael and his family have put their kickboxing curriculum together through decades of training and competing all over ther world. You can be sure that what you are being taught is effective because all of our academy's instructors are actual competitive kickboxers with extensive ring experience.

Competition team:

We are Newfoundland & Labrador's oldest and most competitively successful kickboxing team.

For individuals seeking a competitive program, we compete primarily within the CASK organization. The council of amateur sport kickboxing (CASK) is the official governing body for amateur kickboxing in Canada. Athletes from our academy competition team are active in amateur K1/Thai Boxing rules, Low-Kick rules and Full-Contact rules kickboxing events. In addition, we cross compete in amateur boxing and several team members are using our kickboxing, Gracie Jiu Jitsu and wrestling programs as a base for their MMA training. We have sent athletes across Canada and the US as well as to parts of Europe, Africa and Thailand. If you are looking for a competitive Kickboxing program, please contact the program manager here
